Many a momentous legal decision has been made within the last 60 years and some of them have been very advantageous to the cause of Conservatism. It is important to obey the law, even when it is unpopular because there have been ways to get around certain unfavorable decisions and some decisions can (and should) be overturned by legislation and future Courts.
"The head is sick and the whole body faints" is a word picture that springs to mind when I think of who is currently running our nation and it's institutions and it's effects on society. Responsibility is shared on the voter level as well as the Governmental level but the headship of a nation often determines the moral path that that nation takes; Ancient Israel and Judea is an excellent example. When the Israelities kept their covenent with God, they prospered and were safe from enemies, when they got lazy, slothfull and forgetful of what God did for them, they backsid into disgusting and horrific idolitary and God brought conqourers on them to punish them. They would turn back to God for awhile but then they would go right back to their disgusting old practices after they thought that "God wasn't looking". I fear that this nation is setting itself up for a similar fall, but this time since this nation is not bound by a national covenent, the fall might be perminent and fatal. In fact, why do we think that God will spare the United States of America as a nation? God didn't spare Rome, even when it legalized Christianity and even made it official. If we do fall and cease to exist as a nation, which is looking more and more likely everyday, I do hope and pray that it's ideals will live on in the minds of men and might even be replicated in some future nation, like we replicated and modified Greek, Roman and Germanic laws and Governmental structure. (I mention Germanic because the Althing of the Anceint Nordic tribes has survived on as the New England town meetings) Micheal Savage, a "city thinker" (as I term him, sometimes urbanities can see long term trends clearer because they manifest themselves in urban areas first) has stated, on his most excellent radio show, that there are some HUGE changes comming down the road, within the next 30 years, which will change America forever. Here is a list of what I clearly see will change:
1. Spanish will become the most predominant langauge in the United States and will even become the official langauge of this country.
2. The United States Government will cease to exist after the sheer size of it crushes the US economy and the taxpayer no longer pays into the system. The North American Coummunity will take over governence on the Federal and State level.
3. The Christian faith (the real one) will become illegal and believers will face incredible persecutions.
4. Euthenasia will become common and legal, both infants and the elderly will not be spared. The governing authority will impose a "one child per family" limit.
5. Gay marriage will be legal and accepted, regular families (a huband, wife and kids) will cease to exist.
6. It will be the norm for perverts to engage in sexual activity with animals and children and most people won't care. Prostitution will be legalized, along with drug use.
7. People will be required to carry RFDI tracking chips in their right hands or foreheads. Drug use, for sedation, will become manditory.
8. The governing authority will subisdize housing and healthcare.
9. Most people will communicate with each other in online chatrooms and cease going out in public except for work and emergancies.
10. Islamists will convert this nation to Islam. This is the "wildcard" which will derail the secular humanist dream but will make things dangerous for professing Christians. (Or the radical Islamists allow the secular humanists to go forward with their agenda and the masses of disgusted people flock to Islam as a response.)
Basically this nation will be a comfortable hell.
I leave the reader to be in shock and contemplate the consequences of such a future society. I do hope you all will become more active and crusade for a Judeao-Christian civil soceity that has completely rejected secular humanism and it's ills.
